Terms of Service

HeyMilo is a UK-based AI health coaching platform operated by HeyMilo Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales. The service provides AI-powered coaching, personalised fitness & nutrition plans, habit tracking, and a conversational AI coach designed to support your health and wellness goals.

HeyMilo is NOT a medical service, a registered healthcare provider, or a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the guidance of a qualified healthcare professional with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition.

By creating an account or otherwise accessing and using HeyMilo, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the service.

You must be at least 16 years old to use HeyMilo. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have obtained parental or guardian consent before using the service.

Authentication on HeyMilo is handled through Clerk, a third-party identity provider. You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the information associated with your account and for the security of your login credentials.

You must not share your account with others or allow any other person to access HeyMilo using your credentials. You must notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorised access to or use of your account.

HeyMilo provides the following features:

• Personalised 2-week rolling fitness & nutrition plans
• AI-powered chat coaching
• Food and exercise logging
• Progress tracking and analytics
• Habit building tools

The service is for general wellness coaching ONLY. HeyMilo does not provide:

• Medical diagnosis or treatment
• Clinical nutrition therapy
• Physiotherapy or rehabilitation
• Mental health treatment
• Allergen assessment or medical-grade allergy management
• Emergency medical advice

Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting any new exercise or nutrition programme.

HeyMilo currently operates as a free service during its early access period. When paid subscription plans are introduced:

• We will give at least 30 days' notice before any charges apply.
• You will have a 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
• Subscriptions will auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• You can cancel at any time through your account settings.

You retain full ownership of all personal data and content you submit to HeyMilo, including food logs, exercise data, health information, and chat messages.

By using the service, you grant us a limited licence to process this data solely for the following purposes:

• Delivering the coaching service to you
• Generating personalised plans and recommendations
• Improving AI coaching quality (anonymised and aggregated data only)

You can export your data at any time and request complete deletion of your data from our systems.

HeyMilo uses Azure OpenAI to generate personalised coaching content, including fitness plans, nutrition guidance, and conversational coaching responses. You should be aware that AI-generated content:

• Is for informational and general wellness purposes only
• May contain errors or inaccuracies
• Should not replace professional medical or nutritional advice
• Is generated based on the information you provide and may not account for all relevant health factors

We continuously work to improve the quality and safety of AI-generated content but cannot guarantee its accuracy in all circumstances.

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the AI models used by HeyMilo
• Input false health information that could lead to unsafe recommendations
• Use the service if you are under 16 years of age
• Share or redistribute AI-generated plans as professional medical or nutritional advice
• Attempt to circumvent safety screening or eligibility checks

The HeyMilo brand, logo, software, and AI coaching methodology are owned by HeyMilo Ltd. All rights are reserved unless expressly granted in these terms.

You own your personal data and content. AI-generated plans and coaching content are licensed to you for personal use only. You may not commercially redistribute, resell, or sublicense any AI-generated content produced by HeyMilo.

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• HeyMilo's total liability is limited to the fees you have paid in the 12 months prior to any claim.
• We are not liable for any health outcomes resulting from following AI-generated advice.
• We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages.
• We are not liable for allergic reactions resulting from foods consumed based on AI-generated suggestions, particularly where allergens were not disclosed during onboarding.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for: death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes to our practices, service features, or applicable law. We will provide at least 30 days' notice of material changes via email or in-app notification.

Continued use of HeyMilo after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. If you disagree with any changes, you may close your account and request deletion of your data.

You may close your account at any time through your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms of Service.

Upon termination of your account:

• You have a 30-day window to export your data.
• After 30 days, your data will be permanently deleted from our systems.
• Any active subscription will not be renewed.

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law.
